All About Me
Babies Breath
A flower of an innocent heart and a naive head. In a dark abyss of the world, it seeks to find the hidden beauty in others when it isn’t there. It wants to believe that there are pure hearts out there but everything it trusts turns out to be full of detrimental malicious intent and greed. It’s certain that there is light in the world, but in every corner, all it can see is the murk lurking at nightfall.
______________________________________________________________________________
I am the girl, that sits in the back of the class, you don’t know her name or the colour of her eyes. She hides them with her dark hair and her head bowed down, doubting her every move, anything she says, she does. She is in her corner, observing the world as it passes her by, she loses opportunities with every passing day of being too scared to risk. Will she ever say something?
No.
Her head is examining the light of innocence while it guards her dreaming heart, in the sky flying high above out of reach of the reality of gravity. She looks for the best in people, certain she will find it. How could she not, after all, everyone has a heart, this she knows, right?
She is always justifying other peoples actions.
Did they turn the world against you with a false accusation?
Did they mock you?
Did they take your love for granted?
Did they betray you and give you false promises?
Did they laugh in your face, without hesitation?
Did they walk all over you?
They must have had a bad day, just whisper to yourself it’s ok.
Just keep being the naive shadow and don’t trouble them. I’m sure they didn’t mean to.
Be sweet.
Be kind.
Forgive and forget. Right?
She is the soul that is so concerned about everyone else’s emotions and feelings, she often forgets the raging storm that she holds within herself. She tries to stop the endless, consuming fire with a water droplet that simply dries up before it has the chance. She manages to tell herself that what she feels shouldn’t be known by others.
It’s irrelevant.
it’s unimportant.
Don’t trouble them, they are busy.
She is the peacekeeper to the rest of the world. She ensures everyone leaves satisfied and happy, except herself. She places everyone above herself without doubting the logic or stopping to question why.
She keeps all her worry, frustration, happiness, excitement, every single thought in her.
Until she explodes. A single “how are you today,” can cause the geyser within her to spew out all of her thoughts and emotions, regardless of the time or place. She takes everything out, after a single question.
She will still look for the best in everyone, regardless if they take her for granted.
She will still accept doing things in the pure interest of making everyone like her and maintaining the unrealistic expectation they have for her.
She will still absorb every emotion she has, not allowing myself shed a single tear, a single sob. Nothing. She will tell herself it’s for the best, not convincing anyone, not even herself.
She will never accept her past achievements, never give herself any recognition for things she’s done. Her mind has already been permanently programmed to do better next time. ✰

Natalie!!
When I read through your ‘All About Me’ page, I couldn’t help but feel as if by reading what you had written that I was able to connect more with you on a deeper level. When reading about how you ignore your own emotions in exchange for caring about others emotions, I had a moment of ‘Hey! I do the same thing!’ and to be able to see you share something that many would be hesitant to share is extremely brave and exciting!
Perhaps as you had added the ‘Babies Breath’ flower as what I’m guessing to be a symbol (please correct me if I’m wrong!), it would have been interesting to see how you connected it into your all about me a bit more (as I can see some connections!) or an explanation as to why you chose that exact flower to be a symbol of you. I think it would give a better look into your writing 🙂
Overall, after reading this piece I’m all the more excited to see what you create throughout the semester and especially to see you grow as a writer and as a reader!
Fighting!
Chloe!

Dear Chloe,
I’m glad I’m not the only one that goes through this on a daily basis, I honestly feel alienated when people tell me they have never felt this!
When I read your suggestion of including an explanation on why I chose that flower as a symbol, I realized that the reader might get confused why I talked about a flower since they wouldn’t know what I was thinking about at the time of writing it. Thank you for making me aware of this, I most definitely will add an explanation of how I feel this symbol connects to me. Thank you!
Thank you for taking the time to read my all about me page and for giving me thoughtful feedback!
Sincerely,
Natalie.✰

Dear Natalie,
I was really intrigued when reading this piece, it allowed me to learn a little more about you. This piece was really well written, and I felt as if you wrote this piece from a very personal level.Which allows the reader to connect to the piece in a more personal level, and be able to view the perspectives of the reader in a more open-minded sense.
A little touch up to the beautifully written piece would be to fix some punctuations problems here and there.
Overall a very thought-provoking piece. Can’t wait to read more of your creative writing pieces in the future!
Sincerely,
Zulkifl

Dear Zulkifl,
As you can probably tell I have always struggled with my grammar and it is something I am constantly trying to improve! Thank you for letting me know that within my piece I have punctuation mistakes, I will definitely be more careful and conscious of my punctuation and go back to edit my writing.
Thank you for commenting on my all about me page! Can’t wait to read more of your creative writing pieces in the future!
Sincerely,
Natalie.✰
